Get On Board! is an invitation-only, speed-interviewing style event designed to connect board-ready professionals to companies seeking board candidates.

Event Format

Networking time with an intimate group of board-ready candidates and corporate influencers

10-15 minute, informal one-on-one interviews

How It Works

Get On Board! invites board selection influencers to connect with qualified candidates via networking and informal, one-on-one interviews. The invitation list is limited to 20 individuals whom OnBoard has vetted as ready for board service, and a corresponding number of CEOs, general counsels, and corporate directors representing for-profit companies.

Prior to the event, OnBoard provides interviewers with detailed profiles of participating candidates, allowing interviewers to request particular candidates with whom they wish to speak. Interviewees are encouraged to use this opportunity to ask the board selection influencers for their advice on board candidacy. The atmosphere at Get On Board! is professional and congenial, creating an environment conducive for getting to know board candidates in a relaxed setting.

Finding candidates is cited as a major barrier companies face in increasing representation of women on their boards. Get On Board! addresses that issue by connecting qualified candidates with opportunities and helping them raise their visibility for board and leadership positions.

Using an individualized personal approach, Robin Mladinich coaches C-suite executives, senior leaders, and high-potentials to transform their leadership effectiveness and performance to fuel professional and personal growth and satisfaction. As an award-winning coach, she has 20 years of experience in global leadership development. Her expertise is in coaching and growing individuals; developing leadership programs and competencies to evoke transformation; engaging and developing teams; and developing cross-cultural competence.

Background

Robin founded Inspire 2 Impact – i2i Leadership Group in 2017 to help individuals and organizations to increase leadership capacity and effectiveness to produce sustainable, high-level performance. Robin’s clients consist of Fortune 500 companies, small- and medium-sized firms, entrepreneurs, and non-profits. She has a passion for developing women leaders and is an advocate member of OnBoard Inc. Additionally, she provides contract executive coaching for Korn Ferry and Turknett Leadership Group and teaches leadership courses for Emory Corporate and Continuing Education. Her professional highlights include receiving the 2020 PRISM award for excellence in coaching from the International Coaching Federation – Georgia Chapter; establishing and facilitating the Executive MBA leadership curriculum and coaching program; and creating a 12-month Executive Leadership Academy for Women. She has a track record of success in building strong leaders and teams, leading programs and leading others.

Robin has held leadership roles at Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, and University of Georgia as well as corporate and bilateral government positions. Robin brings a multicultural perspective that includes 4 years working in Belfast with the Northern Ireland Peace Process, directing a global program delivered on 4 continents and developing more than 20 study abroad and work programs around the globe. She is an avid international traveler, having been to over 65 countries for work and pleasure.

Education and Certifications

Robin is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) and an ICF credentialed coach (PCC). She is certified in various assessments to include: The Leadership Circle Profile (360), EQI 2.0, EQI 360, Hogan, DiSC, and Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.

Robin holds a master’s degree in international business from Georgia State University, and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Florida State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Georgia.
